Cheryl Elms Saturday - August 9, 2008 10:00-4:00(1/2 hr. BYO lunch) $50 plus $18 materials Learn how to combine leather with your favorite fiber techniques. We will explore different types of leathers and how they will interact with other fibers. Play with leather punches, needles, and lacings. We will paint, stamp, wood burn, etc. Practice various stitches including; crocheting and braiding styles to join your work to the leather. Think leather pockets, vest backs, purse straps, and embellishments combined with your crocheted, woven, knitted, or felted items. You may bring samples of your work to try or your project to work on. |
