Kids' Knitting Workshop
When: Mon-Fri, Aug. 9-13th 9:30am-12:30pm
Class Description: We will spend the week knitting stuffed animals, then stuffing and sewing them. The children will learn to knit a simple garter stitch, cast on, cast off and finish a product. Beginning knitters may choose to knit a pig, lion, elephant or lamb.
Prerequisites or Class Prep: Ages 7 and up. This class is appropriate for beginning knitters and up.
Fee: $150 + $15 materials fee

Notes: Bring your own snack! We have a refrigerator and microwave.

Young Girls' Fiber Arts Club
When: Last Saturday of each month. Feb. 27, March 27, April 24, May 22, June 26. 2-4PM
Class Description: This monthly Fiber Arts Club for girls aged 10-14 years old is a blast!In February, the project will be a Crochet Flower Power Scarf (pictured)!Then, in March: a Needle-Felted Alphabet Banner! This will be fun and colorful.In April: a Fiber and Beaded Necklace. This project combines I-cord knitting, beads, and clasps for a colorful choker to wear!In May, the girls will braid and decorate friendship bracelets! These will be fun to make AND wear!June project: TBD

Fee: $20, plus a $10 materials fee.

Alpaca 101 -
Youth Animal & Fiber Education Program

Class Description: 1) Learn from our ranch manager the history of alpacas from their original South American roots to the United States; physical attributes; care & feeding; and fiber characteristics. 2) In our Fiber Arts Center, feel the difference between wool and alpaca fibers. Learn to clean and card alpaca fiber for spinning. Learn to spin and take home your new yarn and alpaca information.
Prerequisites or Class Prep:
Class Level: 8 years old & up
Fee: Groups of 8 or less/2 hour program/$6 per student `

Weaving, Sewing ,and Yarn Painting - Brownie Girl Scouts

Class Description: You are never to young to create beauty! Develop or sharpen your skills in weaving, collage, patchwork, and embroidery. From the time you enter the beautiful grounds of the Alpaca Ranch to the time you leave the fiber arts studio, you will be exploring the process of fiber to finish.

Class Level: Patch: Stitch it Together, Colors and Shapes Try-Its
