Suzanne Baker (Cibolo Creek Alpacas) - (Felting)

Suzanne has always been involved in arts & crafts with various textile projects and a designer line of pillows. Her interest diverted for a few years and she became skilled in creating stained glass art, which evolved into hot glass techniques, including glass slumping & fusing. Suzanne was in search of something new & creative for a lifestyle which has been centered around raising and breeding alpacas. Raising alpacas which are shorn each year led to an accumulation of bags of fleece providing her with the end product – the beautiful alpaca fiber. She developed an interest in felting the alpaca fleece which led to learning how to make felt and produce many varieties and styles of hats. She continues to explore different methods of hat making and unique techniques to create interesting fun hats.
