Welcome to Old Oaks Ranch, your Hill County Yarn Store.

• Inside our store you will find an abundance of yarn in all types, sizes and colors, including our own OOR Alpaca yarn and roving, soft and hypoallergenic.

• We have knitting and crocheting, felting and dyeing supplies plus everything you need for rug hooking.

• Our lovely new weaving and spinning studio is stocked with spinning wheels, floor looms, table looms and triangle looms, plus all the tools needed for weaving and winding.

• Enjoy our book nook with the latest and greatest books, magazines and patterns on the market.

• Share in the talents of our instructors, as they explore with you a variety of our materials for weaving, knitting, crocheting, rug hooking, spinning, felting and dyeing in our classroom space for the latest in fiber arts classes.

A cup of tea, a bite of chocolate and conversation await you. As one student said, “this is the perfect place to meet a friend, bring a lunch, and spend the day”. While visiting our yarn store take time to walk the paths of our sculpture garden shaded by century old oak trees and sit in our grotto listening to the sounds of the waterfall. Feel the softness of our alpacas fleece and learn about their gentle nature. Feed a carrot to Einstein, our French Angora bunny.

Join us for special retreats and our sales the second Fri/Sat of the month. Visit us Tuesday through Saturday from 10AM to 5PM. From Wimberley: Head north on RR 12 approximately 5 miles from downtown Wimberley, turn left (east) onto Old Oaks Ranch Rd., approximately one mile on the left, see the entrance and “Open” flag. From Dripping Springs: Dripping Springs RR 12 and 290 intersection, head south on RR 12, go 10 miles, turn right (east) onto Old Oaks Ranch Rd., approximately one mile on the left, see the entrance and “Open” flag.
